HEART KNOT MINE

Despite a successful college teaching career, Noah Daniels has become depressed. He feels he’s leading a monochromatic life: love has eluded him. When he’s offered a chance to teach in London as part of an exchange program, he accepts, hoping a change of scenery will do him good. But once he’s there, his outlook on love and sexuality changes in ways he never expected.

Robert Callinan is Noah’s English counterpart in the program. The men exchange not only their jobs, but also their homes, and it is what Noah stumbles across while staying at Robert’s house that sends him on a journey of self-discovery—both mentally and physically. A journey that puts color back into his life… just not in the way he expected. When the exchange program ends, Noah has to go home, but he doesn’t know if he wants to return to the life he left behind.

“I absolutely LOVE Lily Velden. I have read all her books and I love the way she is very detailed and descriptive without being overly descriptive. You are captured by her characters and she has a way of making you ‘feel’ like you are right there with them, no matter the circumstance. They are always three-dimensional, realistic and flawed in some way. That makes them human which is what makes her books so fantastic.

As you travel down the road of self-discovery with Noah you will laugh, you will cry and your heart will break for him. He goes through so much and his world is turned upside down in a very short time. Robert could have easily been an unlikable character, but Velden wrote him in such a way that the reader was captivated by his charm and understanding of his hesitancy.

Sexy, passionate, endearing and romantic… even if there is a little heart-break in there as well. For those folks out there that refuse to read a book without a happy ending, I’ll tell you that you will get a happy ending, just not exactly how it is delivered. This is definitely a must read, it will have a permanent slot on my kindle so I can re-read it whenever and wherever and all the time!”

“My April hot pick is definitely Heart Knot Mine by Lily Velden. I really enjoyed this emotional and passionate story. Noah’s struggle with his sexuality is portrayed realistically. Lily has created two vastly different characters and woven their lives and story together seamlessly, they both have their own strengths and weaknesses, but try to find happiness nonetheless.

The story is a heart-warming yet gut-wrenching read that brought tears to my eyes, along with some big smiles. It’s a sweet, sometimes angsty story of two men who struggle a lot but truly find their place in the world and a great love to complete each other. It has the perfect balance of romance, heartbreak, intrigue and sweaty sex that all us fans of the M/M genre crave. Highly recommended!”

“I thought this was a great story, obviously I am a fan of the author and her writing style. Lily Velden has an uncanny ability to express pure emotion and love from the boys in her stories.

My heart broke for Noah. Thinking for so long there was something wrong with him. Finally understanding his own realization to who he really is was just exhilarating as he took baby steps to his self discovery and acceptance.

Robert was even more heart broken. Never having love and his own walls he built around his heart just made me so sad.

When these two come together is was just amazing attraction, sparks, lust, fun, hopes, dreams, and love.
But of course the author just couldn’t let them be in their joy. Nope, she had to throw us on her emotion roller coaster and take us for a ride! The hurt was just palpable, realistic, but oh wow did it hurt!!

Beautifully emotional story you won’t want to miss!!

Great story, would definitely recommend it! Stalking is warranted. Highly suggest you do the same.”

“Ms. Velden perfectly balanced all this to craft a story that was not only hot but profoundly emotional too and has written another satisfying story that fans of the m/m genre will definitely want to read.”

“It has been a while since I have read a story that has made me laugh and cry, but this is one that did that. I did not want the story to end, and I hope that there is a follow on to this book – please take note Lily Velden – as I would love to read what happens to both Robert and Noah in the future.”

“…Lily superbly shows Noah’s angst and heartache when he and Robert are apart. It hurts for him and for us as readers. This is skillful and emotional writing at its best. The scene when they finally meet again is one of my favorites in the whole book. I have read it over several times with tears in my eyes. It is so beautiful. So moving.”

“…Heart Knot Mine sucked me right in and the title is a nice play on words, Noah’s heart is in a knot and once he fell in love, it was no longer his. Only Robert, admitting his love for Noah, can heal Noah’s heart. The knot becomes the symbol of Robert’s willingness to commit himself to Noah and of all that can be in the future for the two men. The sex scenes were super-hot, the drama and heartache was sad to witness, and being a sucker for a HEA, I was extremely happy with how Velden pulled it all together at the end. Heart Knot Mine is a definite must buy.”
